The Joy Mountain Oolong is grown at an elevation of 2000-2200 metres on Hehuanshan (or Joy Mountain) in Nantou, Taiwan. It is truly a premium Taiwanese high mountain tea, made by an experienced artisan tea making family in Nantou. They source excellent quality leaves from various prized growing areas in this province and other parts of Taiwan - Hehuanshan being one of those. This area has a cool alpine climate, and snow is common in winter. The fir trees and alpine flowers that cover Hehuanshan's slopes are evident in this tea.
