Notes: Alishan Green is made from the same tea varietals that are used to produce its famous Oolongs. However, it undergoes no oxidisation or roasting in processing, allowing the tea maker to bring out the truest flavour Alishan has to offer.
This tea is produced by an outstanding tea maker, who is meticulous in his farming practices and takes pride in the quality of his products. The high mountain environment in which this tea is grown is pristine. See our blog post on Taiwan Tea Travel for more information and photos.
Origin: Alishan, Taiwan
Quantity: 4g per 200ml (1 tsp per cup)
Steeping time: 4 - 5 minutes
Water temperature: 80°C
Green tea tip!
Boiling water can damage the delicate leaves in green tea.
It can take more than just a few minutes for the water in your boiled kettle to cool down to 80°C. Best to add some cold water or an ice cube to your cup or pot before introducing the leaves.
