The Purple Beauty is made from a special varietal of tea plant, which was a result of several decades of research and development in the 1970s and 80s. Not only was it found to have superior characteristics in terms of its flavour and aroma, but is high in anthocyanin and catechin levels, which are thought to have certain health benefits.
