The Gui Fei is created in the traditional style of Dong Ding oolong but it is also is a leaf-bitten tea, like its cousin the Oriental Beauty. The leafhoppers visit the plants as they develop and this contributes to the honey flavour and aroma so evident in the final product. It goes without saying, this tea is grown without pesticides. It is grown at an elevation of 1000-1200 metres.
The flavours and overall experience is quite different to an Oriental Beauty, with perhaps more depth and complexity. This is an oolong to fall in love with. A must try.
This tea is created by a dedicated and outstanding tea making family in Nantou, who consistently produce excellent teas.
